What’s Changing?
We've made some big improvements to the Classwork experience to make lesson management smoother and more intuitive for you. This update introduces a structured Lesson Panel that makes it easier to track student progress, access teaching resources, and control lesson availability - all in one place.
Where to Find It
Go to the Classwork section in Find Your Grind.
Lessons (previously called ‘Badge Sets’) are now neatly organized within units.
When you open a lesson, it will now appear in a full-screen view for a more streamlined experience.
What’s New?
1. Improved Lesson Panels
Each lesson now includes:
✅ Lesson Title – Clearly displayed at the top.
✅ Lesson Image – The first badge image from the lesson.
✅ Estimated Learning Time
✅ Badge Count – Shows how many badges are in the lesson.
✅ Recent Activity – The last time any student in your class earned a star in this lesson.
✅ Lesson Access Toggle – You now have full control over when students can access a lesson.
2. Better Educator Lesson View
Header Section
Displays lesson name and estimated learning time.
Includes a toggle to turn student access on or off.
If a unit isn’t scheduled yet, you’ll see a reminder to schedule it first.
Student Badges Section
Lists all badges included in the lesson.
Shows estimated completion times for each badge.
Lesson Resources
Direct access to Lesson Plans, Teacher-Led Activities, and Student-Led Offline Activities.
Clicking a resource opens it in a new tab.
Unit Resources (If Available)
Includes Getting Started, Badges at a Glance, Lesson Plans, and Deep Dives.
Clearly organized below the Lesson Resources section for easy access.
3. Easier Student Progress Tracking
View a list of students and track whether they’ve earned a star for each badge.
Hover over a star to see which badge it belongs to.
Please note: Unread student responses will not be flagged here (they can still be found in the Student Progress tab in any unit).
FAQs
How do I enable or disable a lesson for students?
Use the Lesson Access Toggle in the lesson panel. Flip it ON or OFF to control access.
What happens if I try to enable a lesson in an unscheduled unit?
You’ll see a message saying, “Unit is not yet scheduled.” Clicking ‘Schedule Unit’ will take you back to Classwork so you can set it up.
Why don’t I see the ‘Teacher Resources’ tab?
The Teacher Resources tab only appears if resources exist for the unit. If nothing is available, the tab stays hidden.
What does ‘Recent Activity’ mean?
This shows the most recent date that any student in your class earned a star in the lesson. If student access is OFF, this field won’t be visible.
