Find Your Grind offers different Curricula. Depending on your use case you might want to choose the 9, 18, 27, or 36 unit offering.

Different Curriculum Lengths

Find Your Grind offers multi-year or semester-long curriculum options. Each unit is a unique combination of independent student learning opportunities paired with opportunities for direct instruction. Moreover, students can be encouraged to spend additional time exploring Find Your Grind’s robust library of mentors, careers, lifestyles, skills, and industry pathways.

Sample Lesson Plan (minimal direct instruction)

Materials Needed:

Computers, Unit printouts, projector

Lesson opening (15 min):

Discussion: Print out the journal prompt. Write questions on the board. Complete a think pair share activity.

Model Learning: Complete 2-3 badges from the unit with your students while sharing your screen. Pause record any useful vocabulary.

Instructional Activity (20 min):

Independent work: Instruct students to complete 6-12 star activities. Monitor the room and ask questions of students. Halfway through you can ask students to complete a badge together or share with a new partner something they learned about themselves!

Post-Activity Worksheet (10 min):

Distribute a Find Your Grind worksheet from your printable Unit Resources or choose an activity related to the topic

Lesson Summary (10 minutes)

Instruct students to click on the explore tab. Have them choose 3 badges to complete related to careers, mentors, skills, and or another category! Have students write down on a piece of paper the three badges they chose and how they relate to their lifestyle!
