  1. Introduction ( 2 minutes):

Hook: "Think about your life a year ago. What were your favorite hobbies? What were your biggest goals? How have things changed?"

Bridge: "A lot can change in a year, right? Our interests, our goals, even our values can evolve. And that's totally normal! Today, we're going to take a moment to reflect on who we are now and who we want to become."

Overview: "Over the next few weeks, we'll be working on three badges to help you upgrade your life. First, we'll Upgrade Your Lifestyle. We'll explore what's important to you and how to balance all the different parts of your life. Then, we'll Supercharge Your Strengths. We'll identify your unique strengths and create a plan to develop them into practical skills. Finally, we'll dive into Your World. We'll explore different roles and discover how you can make a positive impact, no matter what career path you choose."

DIFFERENTIATION

Student Learning Needs:

  • Strategies for students who need additional support: Offer one-on-one short check-ins. This allows them to ask questions, get clarification on difficult concepts, and receive individualized guidance, helping them stay on track and feel more connected in the online environment.

  • Strategies for advanced students: Create opportunities for advanced students to share their insights, lead discussions, and mentor their peers in specific subjects. This not only reinforces their own understanding but also enhances their leadership skills and fosters a collaborative learning environment.

Learning Preferences:

  • Choice in Assignments: Offer students options for how they demonstrate their understanding of the topic. For example, they could choose to write a report, create a presentation, or produce a video. This empowers students to engage with the material in a way that resonates with their learning preferences.

ASSESSMENT

Evaluate Student Understanding:

  • Badges with assessments:

  • Teacher and Student-led Activities:

    • Students will successfully complete this activity when all questions are answered. The exact answers may vary based on the content they selected. The learning outcomes are focused on the process, not the output. Rubrics have been provided for Teacher-led activities
