Activity Overview:

1. Introduction & Lifestyle Overview

  • Teacher-Led Discussion: Briefly reintroduce the different “Find Your Grind” lifestyles. Explain that each lifestyle represents certain strengths and preferences and ask students to keep an open mind about exploring each one.

  • Split students into groups of 3-4, this could be random or by lifestyle

  • Distribute lifestyle descriptions to each group, so they can refer to them during discussions.

2. Group Exploration & Discussion

  • Activity: In their groups, students will review each lifestyle description together. Encourage them to discuss which categories they identify with most based on their Find Your Grind Lifestyle Assessment.

  • Prompt for Discussion: Ask each student to pick 1-2 lifestyles that resonate with them and share why they feel a connection to those categories. They should also think about how their choices may have evolved since last year’s assessment.

3. Creative Lifestyle Brainstorm

  • Challenge: Each group will pick one lifestyle (e.g., Creator, Competitor, Healer) to represent their “team lifestyle.” Their task is to brainstorm ways they could take on projects, roles, or ideas that would allow the entire group to practice that lifestyle in a real-world scenario.

  • Poster Creation: On poster paper, groups will create a “Lifestyle Action Plan,” describing (1) why they chose this lifestyle, (2) how each group member’s individual strengths contribute to it, and (3) one unique, outside-the-box idea for a group project they could do together that aligns with this lifestyle. Encourage them to be imaginative! For example:

    • Creators might brainstorm a community art project.

    • Competitors could come up with a friendly group competition that challenges their skills.

    • Humanitarians might think of ways to volunteer or make a positive impact in their school.

4. Group Presentations

  • Each group presents their Lifestyle Action Plan to the class, explaining their chosen lifestyle, the individual strengths they contribute, and their unique project idea.

  • After each presentation, encourage quick class feedback on how the group’s ideas reflect the lifestyle and any new ideas classmates might suggest.

Debrief

  • Teacher-Led Reflection: Conclude with a discussion on the importance of understanding personal values and how they can shape choices, teamwork, and future goals. Emphasize that these insights can help them make decisions that align with who they are and how they want to grow.
